Major League Baseball’s best and brightest stars gather at Dodger Stadium Tuesday night for the 2022 MLB All-Star Game. The All-Star Game ends a hectic four-day stretch that featured the Futures Game on Saturday, the first 80 picks in the 2022 MLB Draft on Sunday and the Home Run Derby on Monday. This is the 92nd edition of the Midsummer Classic, and the first at Dodger Stadium since 1980.

The American League has dominated the All-Star Game in recent years. They have won the last eight, 15 of the last 18 and 20 of the last 24 All-Star Games. That said, the all-time series is just 46-43-2 in favor of the Junior Circuit.

Here is the display information for the 2022 MLB All-Star Game.

History lines

Brian Snitker, manager of the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves, will guide a National League club that wants to end the American League’s eight-game winning streak. Houston Astros skipper Dusty Baker manages the All-Star Game for the second time. Baker managed the NL in 2003 after taking the San Francisco Giants to the 2002 World Series, although he was the manager of the Chicago Cubs that season. It was the first time in history that an All-Star Game manager was not the manager of the team he took to the World Series the year before.

On the mound, Dodgers icon Clayton Kershaw will get the start for the NL club at his home ground. He will be the first pitcher to start at home since Max Scherzer got the ball for NL at Nationals Park in 2018. Ray’s lefty Shane McClanahan, not Angels star Shohei Ohtani, will get the ball for the AL team. Kershaw Vs. Ohtani had been quite funny, although McClanahan certainly deserves the starting assignment. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
