Sennheiser officially announced the Momentum 4 wireless headphones back in June, which immediately sent the audiophile community into a frenzy.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Release Date

While we don’t have an exact release date or time for the Sennheiser Momentum 4, Sennheiser itself has confirmed that the new headphones will be available in August 2022.

That’s as accurate as we can get right now, but as the date, whenever that is, gets closer, we’ll keep our ear to the ground to keep you updated with the details.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 pre-order

We’re going to assume the Momentum 4 pre-order page will go live shortly before release, but this isn’t a given.

Unlike the video game industry, there isn’t always a pre-order period to take advantage of, sometimes the company simply skips it.

Either way, you’ll be able to get your hands on these pretty soon, but you might just have to grab them quickly upon release, rather than having them delivered on day one.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 price

We don’t have a confirmed price yet, but the previous generations of Sennheiser Momentum headphones can be used to plot some sort of price trajectory.

The Sennheiser Momentum 3 wireless headphones currently retail for $400 (£350). They have only experienced marginal price drops since release, unfortunately.

This means we’re likely looking at a slightly higher base price for the Sennheiser Momentum 4.

Our current guess is somewhere around $420 (blaze it). This will offer a good price premium over the current generation, and from what we’re hearing about the specs, it’s going to be quite reasonably priced too.

Additionally, the Momentum 3 wireless headphones will likely see a price cut, making the previous, but still excellent, headphones more affordable.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 specifications

As with the current generation, we’re sure to be treated to some pretty impressive specs. For a change, we actually have some confirmed features too.

The sound will be delivered by a pair of 42 mm drivers, they are also angled slightly backwards for more organic fire sound into the ear canal.

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 microphone is also due for an upgrade. This time the microphones are internal and angled, to better receive voice recordings.

Noise dampening

The design of the Momentum 4 headphones has also been improved to further improve ANC (active noise cancellation).

Deeper earcups and a better seal will improve both noise canceling performance and bass response.

In addition, the deeper ear cups provide a more natural bass response. This makes it sound more like the sound is coming from all around you, rather than from a single source.
