Former president Donald Trump sided with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tour over what he called a “very disloyal PGA” in a post Monday morning on TruthSocial.

LIV is the controversial start-up golf tour supported by Saudi millions that has led many top professional golfers to leave the PGA Tour, namely Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and many others, who have received huge and guaranteed payments for their participation. Saudi Arabia has long been criticized for its poor human rights record, which has recently come to light in part due to the state-sponsored assassination of Washington Post author Jamal Khashoggi.

In Trump’s perspective, golfers who remain loyal to a “very disloyal PGA” are basically suckers because when there is an “inevitable FULL” with LIFE, they will not get anything. Trump wrote:

All the golfers who remain “loyal” to the very disloyal PGA, in all its various forms, will pay a great price when the inevitable merger with LIV comes, and you get nothing but a big “thank you” from PGA officials who serve millions of dollars a year. If you do not take the money now, you will get nothing after the merger, and just say how smart the original signatures were. Congratulations to all, and congratulations to the truly talented Cam Smith on his incredible WIN!

It is conceivable that the PGA and LIV may one day merge, but there is no real indication that something will happen in the foreseeable future or ever. Trump’s suggestion that the launch tour will one day be at a level that makes it a potential merger target for the PGA is a very charitable portrayal and one that can only please the Saudi supporters that Trump has boasted of having a fantastic relationship with.

Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner reportedly received approximately $ 2 BILLION in cash to launch its own investment portfolio.

Politics Andrew Desiderio reports that 9/11 families on Monday expressed their “extreme frustration and anger” to Trump in a letter – which blew up his decision to host a LIV tournament on his Bedminster course last month.

“It is incomprehensible to us, Mr. Trump, that a former president of the United States would throw our loved ones aside for personal financial gain,” the families wrote. “We hope you will reconsider your business relationship with the Saudi Golf League and agree to meet us.”
